beyond the dreams and illusions of childhood is One who calls me beautiful. His voice never falters, never ceases, even when i continue my childhood games, even when i continue to listen to voices other than His. regina franklin

colored jeans are so eighties
this is what the girls just told me. of course i had to follow that remark up with the fact that i had just about every color of jean they made in the eighties. and all my socks matched my shirts. and yes i pinch pleated the bottom of my pants so that you could see my matching socks. so there and i had big permed hair and lots of black eyeliner. we were so cool in the eighties.

And we had to lay down on the bed to zip our jeans...sometimes with the help of a hanger or pliers. At least at Early we did. ;) Oh and spike heels. Okay, now that I think about it, it was late 70's early 80's.........wow, I'm older than you. Maybe you missed the laying on the bed part.???
ReplyDeleteI had a pair of red denim jeans, and they were a 'pricey' brand too. AND, I 'rolled' my jeans. AND, I would sometimes wear two different colored socks. Ha ha
ReplyDeleteyes i did lay on the bed to zip. i would dry my jeans extra long so that they would be extra tight. how pathetic is that.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget color blocked sweaters with socks representing each color and KEDS canvas shoes!
ReplyDeleteokay, well I pinch-pleated kylah's jeans, does that count?
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way I had colored hip hugger jeans in every color purchased at the army/navy store, with a white wide belt and body suits, with penny loafers. Straight, long hair, parted down the middle. That was the 70's, mid.
We were the ultimate cool you big haired eighties girls!
